2. Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, or using Skin Journal (the mobile app or skinjournal.net website), you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Skin Journal.
3. Service Description
Skin Journal is a personal skin care journaling app that allows you to:
- log daily face photographs;
- receive AI-generated metrics and comments;
- track skincare products and habits;
- receive insights and recommendations based on your data.
Skin Journal does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional healthcare advice. Analyses and insights are informational and should not replace consultation with a dermatologist or other healthcare professional.
4. User Account
4.1. Registration
You may use the app with an initial anonymous session and later link your account with Google to save your data permanently.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity under it.
4.2. Data accuracy
You agree to provide truthful information, especially regarding your age and profile.
4.3. Account deletion
You may delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Delete account). This will permanently delete all associated data.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the service for illegal or unauthorized purposes;
- upload content that is not yours or infringes third-party rights;
- attempt to access systems, data, or accounts belonging to others;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the service;
- use unauthorized bots, scrapers, or automation;
- impersonate another person.
We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules.
6. User Content
You retain ownership of photos and data you upload. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to process that content solely to provide the service (analysis, metrics storage, insight generation).
Face photographs are processed by AI providers and are not persistently stored on our servers.
7. Intellectual Property
Skin Journal, its design, code, brand, texts, and features are owned by the service provider or licensors. No intellectual property rights are granted beyond personal use permitted by these Terms.
8. Artificial Intelligence
Analyses, metrics, comments, and insights are generated by artificial intelligence systems. They may contain inaccuracies. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of results.
Do not make medical decisions based solely on Skin Journal results.
9. Availability and Changes
We strive to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with or without notice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Skin Journal is provided "as is" and "as available".
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
- We are not liable for health or skincare decisions you make based on the service.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months (the service is currently free).
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer under Spanish and EU law.
11. Third-Party Links
The service may link to or integrate third-party services (Google, AI providers, etc.). We are not responsible for their practices or content.
12. Pricing
Skin Journal is currently free. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future, with prior notice.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Spanish law.
For consumers resident in the EU, any dispute shall be submitted to the courts of the consumer's domicile, in accordance with consumer protection regulations.
14. Modifications
We may update these Terms. We will notify you of significant changes. Continued use of the service after notification implies acceptance of the new Terms, unless the law requires renewed consent.
